1959 Rolex Submariner 5512 with Tropical Gilt Chapter Ring Dial, Red Triangle Bezel, and Big Logo Stretch Bracelet-Rolex Day-Date 40mm Diamond Dial Watch

Excellent pointed crown case that has just returned from polishing. Comes with an extremely rare and excellent Red Triangle bezel insert that has faded with age. Caseback is stamped III.59 Excellent Big Logo Stretch Bracelet stamped I.60.

Excellent Tropical Gilt Dial with dark creamy markers and matching hands. The glossy surface of the dial is shiny wth only light wear. There is a light scuff above the X in Rolex. The black portion of the dial is fading to a beautiful brown hue. There is no depth rating visible on the dial There is no signs of removal or fade too the delicate glossy portion of the dial above Submariner. The luminous material of the dial is consistent with radium lume from this time period. The lume on both the dial and hands is lightly spotted from age. Both the hands and the dial react the same under UV light which makes us believe the hands came out of the Rolex Factory like this. The watch has a reading of 17.4 +/- 3.48 on the Geiger counter in our office.
